The Lost Cherrees - Demos and E.P

The Lost Cherrees were formed in 1979/1980 by Steve Battershill (drums), Dave Greaves (guitar) and Siân Jeffreys vocalist. After a period of rehearsal, six demo tracks were recorded and released on a tape cassette 'The Worst Demo Ever Recorded At Hark Studios, Kingston', this was a split release with other local punk band Warning. A first gig was played in front of a small crowd at a party held at singer Sian’s house in Sutton Surrey in the summer of 1981. Soon after this Greaves left the band and Andy Rolfe took his place as guitarist, Steve switched to playing bass and Nuts (Warren Samuels) joined as the new drummer. The new Lost Cherrees line-up of Andy, Nuts, Sian & Steve recorded a second demo in 1982, some tracks of which were to eventually feature on a release on the Subhumans label Bluurg.

Off Minor - Innominate

Off Minor are a hardcore/emo band from New York City. They formed in 1999 with Jamie Behar, Matt Smith, and Steven Roche, all former Saetia members. However, Smith later left and was replaced by Steven's brother Kevin on bass. Since then they have released three albums, and six EPs and splits on several indie labels such as Level Plane Records, Golden Brown Records, and Paramnesia Records, as well as releasing their latest both physically and digitally on a donation system. They have toured all over Europe, Australia, Asia, and the United States. They take their name from a Thelonious Monk song. Steven Roche currently owns and operates Permanent Hearing Damage Recording Studios in Philadelphia. Kevin and Steven Roche currently play in Bore War.

Men As Trees - Weltschmerz

Men As Trees is a band from Auburn Hills, Michigan, north of Detroit and home of Oakland University. Formed in 2003 the band sought to combine punk, hardcore and instrumental music into a form that is now often described as a hybrid of screamo[2] and post-rock, and that strives for intensity, both in quick, frantic bursts and longer, patient contemplations.[1][3] Most notable and referred to as having an epic sound which draws them to the forefront of their blend of genres.[4][5]
Men As Trees quietly recorded/released a demo and EP online in '05/6 but began to attract notice with their two song EP, live From the Crow's Nest Looking Out which preceded their first tour in February 2007.[6][7] 2007 also saw the release of the band's first full length CD Six Waves In, followed by more touring in the U.S. and Canada and the release, less than a year later, of their most highly refined and best received album to date, Weltschmerz.[1] Men As Trees maintain their DIY roots in many ways, one of which is by offering all of their music for free download .[1][8]
Summer of 2009 held their month long European tour where they co-headlined with German post-rock band Single State of Man.[9][10]
After taking a two year hiatus to pursue family/travel/school/work, the members of Men As Trees have relocated and reformed as Locktender in Cleveland, OH. Locktender is a concept focused hardcore band concentrating on artists and their works interpreted through music, lyrics & art.

Envy

ENVY

Envy is one of my favorite post hardcore bands, and these are my favorite albums from them.

Envy is a Japanese rock band formed in Tokyo in 1992. They are signed to Rock Action Records in Europe and Temporary Residence Limited in North America, though originally they worked with Level Plane Records. Initially influential in the post-hardcore scene, Envy more recently in their career has grown to include elements of post-rock.[3]
